Love Golden Corral sometimes. I just always have too much when I go. It definitely has every thing you might want to eat but there are some things that could be improved. Loved the butter beans but the asparagus was shriveled and tough. Waitresses work hard and are very sweet. I do wish parents would watch their children a more closely but the restaurant can't do much about that. Unsupervised children tend to take all of one item such as pizza and don't see others in line may have wanted a piece as well. Just saying - watch your kids teach them to be considerate and maybe we can help each other and Golden Corral. My steak was awesome as always as well as the bourbon chicken- my favs at Golden Corral. Good times with good friends

Mediocre at best. While there is something for almost everyone, nothing tastes really good...just ok. Our waitress was nice. The biggest reason for this two star rating is the price...no more eating for a cheap price at GC...my husband and I paid $35.00 total for a meal there...for that price we should've made a better decision.

I absolutely love Golden Corral Buffet while i lived in MInnesota, unfortunately the one location that we have gone to in the Hampton Roads area has creepy clientele. Since my husband pretty much nailed it on the head by saying it is the WalMart of buffets we have not been back since.

I really like the food. However, 70 dollars +tip for my family of 5!! And the kitchen is always a mess. You can kinda see it when getting your food. They have trouble keeping up with food. It kinda smells weird.

Ugh! Ick! Yuck! Was it MSG, ya know M.essy S.ick G.ut Syndrome. Wow, we won't be returning there after tonight. At this time I feel like the CEO of the gas company, my goodness! It's a Buffett, yes, but as for quality we feel right now as if we have bloatation devices around our stomachs. Did we just eat four bricks, because our stomachs feel like it after eating here. Theres no gold at this corral, just fresh horse patties.

Writing a review for a Golden Corral is, for me, akin to writing one for any given national chain fast food restaurant, but over the last few months, there has been a delightful change. The Tidewater area Golden Corrals used to be a place for beef, chicken, and a bit of pork along with a very small selection of vegetables, starches such as mac and cheese, dinner rolls, a very good salad bar, and some above average desserts. However, I'm finding a much larger selection of hot veggies such as asparagus, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, lima beans, and more. They have good making for taco salads with a pico de gallo almost as good as some of the tex mex restaurants and they are still offering a wide variety of meats in a dozen or more styles. Some servers are more attentive than others. It's nearly always a clean place to eat but is also crowded. A waitress once told me to show up at 3:30 and have a small first plate because at 4pm you get access to the dinner items, including steaks, at the lunch time price. I used to go to GC three or four times a year, but since they've been offering a better selection of veggies with their great selection of meats and salad items, I've actually gone four times in the last three months, though one of those times was with family who chose that location for breakfast (great omelets). If you haven't given this national chain attention in the last year, it might be a good time to do so. Just plan in advance... eat a very light breakfast, NO lunch, and a three to five mile walk might help make caloric room for the damage you're about to do. Remember..it is all you can eat, but it's not a competition, you don't have to break your previous records, unless you really want to.

Generic Golden Corral but this is the closest to me. It always seems the one in Williamsburg is better. Tonight was usual. Food was good and hot out server Nella was very friendly. The always seem to run out chocolate cookies when I am here and never put out fresh ones. I will keep coming back but please have cookies!!!!

I haven't gone back since I made my last review of this place, but for two days at lunch time consecutively(we had lunch coupons) the food has been very good tasting and fresh. If you go there for lunch the fried chicken is very fresh, the mini burgers and hot dogs are great, the only downer I had was that the Mac n Cheese is usually always over cooked and bland, wish they'd update that recipe.

Eh...typical buffet. The food tasted so bland and not fresh at all. I've had better food in the Army's Dining Facility. 12 bucks for a lunch buffet is so not worth it. The only good thing about this place is the waitress. She was nice and attentive. If it had not been for her, this place would've been a one star

Came in for a early breakfast with my fiancee. And all honesty I am not imprrssed. For some reason after being maybe the 3 couple walk in the bacon was extremely soggy like they cooked it and let it sit in its own grease. And for some reason I believe our waiter was antisocial and isn't that the one trait u aren't suppose to have as someone who deals with people all day. But all in all the food was good

Have been to this location for lunch. On its own it's a typical buffet experience. Compared to the Hampton location this one is so much better. Food taste fresher and staff is really friendly. They are really good with drink refills and restocking the line. Definitely recommend this over the Hampton location.
